Meet Holly

A Thoughtful, Relational Approach to Therapy

I am a qualified and experienced therapeutic practitioner who creates a warm, supportive space for people to pause, reflect and make sense of what is happening in their lives.

At the heart of my work is a genuine curiosity about how people think, feel, relate and respond. I understand that every person brings a unique combination of experiences, relationships, challenges and strengths, so my approach is always shaped around the individual rather than a fixed formula.

How I work

I work collaboratively, helping clients explore what is happening in the present, understand the experiences and patterns that may sit beneath it, and discover new ways of responding.

My aim is not to tell people what to do, but to create the conditions in which greater awareness, understanding and meaningful change can develop.  I will accompany and support you to find what you need.

A Space Where You Can Be Yourself

I do not believe that you should have to arrive at therapy with everything clearly understood or easily explained. Life is messy and people can be messy to.

Sessions offer a confidential and compassionate space where you can speak openly, explore uncertainty and work at a pace that feels right for you.

I bring warmth, curiosity and thoughtful challenge to the relationship. I pay attention not only to the words being spoken, but also to the emotions, relationships and patterns that may be shaping your experience.

Above all, my focus is on creating a space where you feel heard, respected and supported as a whole person.

Beyond the Therapy Room

My curiosity about people and wellbeing extends beyond my professional work. I am committed to lifelong learning and have a particular interest in how people develop, relate and create meaningful change.

Outside work, I enjoy spending time with my family, growing herbs and creating artisan chocolate.

Experience and Qualifications

I bring more than 20 years of experience supporting people through change, learning and personal development, individually and within public, private and third-sector organsations. My qualifications and professional development include:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Integrative Psychotherapy
  • Level 5 Counselling and Psychotherapy for children and young people
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Coaching Psychology
  • ILM Level 7 Coaching
  • Postgraduate study in Organisational Development
  • BA (Hons) in Communication
Additional study in group dynamics and human development
  • Training and experience in psychometric approaches, including 15PF and MBTI

I remain committed to ongoing learning and regularly undertake further study to deepen and develop my therapeutic practice as well as regular supervision.

My Therapy Approach

I do not believe that one single therapeutic model is right for everyone.

Instead, I draw on a range of therapeutic, psychological and relational approaches, adapting the work to meet each client’s needs, circumstances and pace.

My approach explores three interconnected areas:

Awareness

Creating space to notice what is happening now, including thoughts, feelings, behaviours, relationships and recurring patterns.

Understanding

Looking beneath the surface to explore how experiences and patterns may have developed and what may be continuing to influence them.

Change

Identifying practical, manageable ways to respond differently and move towards greater confidence, wellbeing and choice.

This combination can support you with the immediate concerns bringing you to therapy while also helping you develop deeper self-awareness and longer-term emotional resilience as well as the potential to work on what your purpose is and who you are.

Begin with a Session

You do not need to know exactly what you want from therapy before making contact.

An initial session gives you the opportunity to talk about what is bringing you to therapy, understand more what you’re trying to understand, ask any questions and get a sense of whether working with me feels right for you.
